Dominican Republic Flooding Disaster Aid
Hope In Action provided disaster aid to victims in the Dominican Republic displaced by Hurricane Noel and Tropical Storm Olga. Relief items included cans of soup, green beans, potatoes, corn and mixed greens.
The disaster aid recipients were among the 62,000 people displaced by flooding in low-lying areas resulting from 10 inches of rain dumped by tropical Storm Olga.
Many of the recipients were still recovering from the destruction caused by Hurricane Noel, which damaged or destroyed 20,675 homes in 100 villages.
