Purpose
Hope in Action Alliance, Inc. (HIAA) is dedicated to strengthening communities across Appalachia. Founded in West Virginia, HIAA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving communities connected by Appalachian culture, history, and shared systems of care.

Our team strengthens collaboration by bridging advanced systems with grassroots, community-driven efforts. We build networks of support, grow effective initiatives, and help scale successful programs from one community to another.
Origin
Hope in Action was born from a shared vision of strengthening communities across the region. Drawing on decades of experience in public health and policy, the organization was created to foster collaboration, drive meaningful change, and make a lasting impact on underserved communities.
